Our top 5 best reasons to go on vacation out of season

Holidays in the off-season come with several advantages: attractive prices, fewer crowds on the roads, fewer tourists at tourist sites and popular destinations, favorable weather... Discover our top 5 reasons to go on vacation during the off-season.

1. Budget-friendly holidays...

Vacations in May-June or September are synonymous with affordable prices. Off-season rates are offered during these periods, with discounts of up to -50% off the base price. For example, on Farret's rate brochure, you can notice a significant difference between the prices in May for a premium Marina cottage (starting at €95 per night) and the prices in August (starting at around €300 per night). These attractive prices are an opportunity to enjoy cost-effective vacations by the seaside and to opt for premium cottage holidays. This allows you to access much more advantageous offers that will be kinder to your wallet. As a result, you can participate in more activities in the region, such as our excursions: our canoe trip in Roquebrun on the Orb Canal (near Béziers), the discovery of shellfish farming in Bouzigues on the Thau pond with an oyster tasting, or the visit to the Preignes Vineyard by bike.

2. More pleasant and affordable transportation...

Advantageous transportation offers will be available to you (e.g., trains or planes that are cheaper than in the high season or shuttles included in the chosen transportation price). Moreover, waiting times in transportation and traffic jams on the roads will become distant memories.

3. More Accessible and Peaceful Holidays

Your holidays will become more accessible due to their reduced prices, as well as the reduced crowds at various locations. Fewer vacationers opt for off-season vacations. The beaches, tourist sites, and accommodations are less crowded. Families give way to retirees and young couples who take advantage of the tranquility of the low season to explore Hérault, its beaches, and its hinterland. In April, May, June, and September, exploring the region is more enjoyable, and the must-visit places and beaches are more easily accessible.

You can participate in activities while avoiding endless queues, receive quicker service at restaurants or bars, and you'll hardly need to make reservations anymore (at Club Farret, your shuttles can be reserved on the same morning, and you can even borrow your Padel Tennis equipment a few hours before starting to play). You can enjoy an ice cream or savor a crepe in our new creperie "La Fabrique" without having to wait.

4. Discovering the Region Through Its Inhabitants...

In September, the stress of the high season gives way to calm and relaxation. People have time to enjoy themselves. They are no longer in a rush; the big rush of August and July is finally over. The locals are available; it's the perfect time to talk to them, share with them, and explore Vias and its surroundings in a more authentic way. Head to the southern markets to meet them, listen to their melodious accents, and hear their incredible stories.

At Farret, our teams are at your service, providing information and guidance. Don't hesitate to reach out to us to learn about the must-visit places in the region.

5. Vacations That Will Make Your Entire Circle Envious

Whether you depart before or after everyone else, in any case, you'll be on vacation while everyone else is working! A selfie with a cocktail at the Tao pool bar, photos of idyllic beaches and landscapes, a perfect tan... All of this is sure to make your friends and office colleagues envious! By sharing your photos with them, you might enable them to discover their vacation spot from a different perspective, that of the off-season. Additionally, it will be easier for you to secure your vacation dates by going on vacation in the low season because you'll be traveling when your colleagues are available to work, giving you more options for leave.

So, are you convinced? Our teams eagerly await your visit in September!
