At Club Farret we are committed to protecting the environment and reducing our environmental impact. Preserving our natural spaces must be the fight of all campsites at Vias Plage.
We are lucky enough to enjoy one of the most beautiful places in the world: the Mediterranean Sea and its fine sandy beaches.

Because actions speak louder than words, your campsite at Vias Plage has set itself missions and challenges to contribute to a better world.
1. Controlling water consumption
Sanitary facilities equipped with water savers (aerators that inject air bubbles into the water, reducing the flow rate by 30% to 50% without the pressure decreasing)
Timer system for washbasins, sinks and showers in sanitary facilities
Choice of regional species and trees adapted to the Mediterranean climate in order to limit watering and overconsumption of water because here it can be scarce, especially in summer.
Drip watering
Installation of a system for recycling water from washing swimming pool filters used for irrigation of green spaces
We track water leaks and maintain the pipes
We are gradually replacing lawns with synthetic turfs
2. Electricity management to reduce consumption
Low consumption LED lighting

Implementation of selective sorting: recycling center with containers for recyclable waste and glass column

4. Responsible purchasing
We favor our commercial exchanges with local suppliers to reduce the carbon impact. At Club Farret, the majority of our partner companies are from Vias and Hérault.
In our bars, no more disposable plastic glasses and straws. We have chosen to use collectible glasses every year.
5. Promote green transport
Installation of charging stations for electric vehicles
Travel within the campsite has a low impact. Firstly because employees come from nearby towns and seasonal workers are often housed on site and because most trips within the campsite are made on foot, in electric vehicles or by bike.
6. Reduction in distribution of paper documents
For 2 years already, we have limited the distribution of flyers and animation planning towards a “0 paper waste” objective! The mobile application allows you to find all the campsite activities and access tourist information about the Occitanie region!
In our bars and restaurants, we favor the use of QR Codes rather than paper cards.
We don’t stop there!
Beach cleaning activities with the Mini Club
Educating the little ones is essential to preserve our environment. At the Farret campsite in Vias Plage, we are implementing several beach cleaning actions with the children of the Mini Club. Under the supervision and supervision of our instructors, the children participate in cleaning the beaches and learn simple actions to preserve our environment.
Lifespan of waste, awareness of selective sorting... is all vital information which is transmitted to your children by involved facilitators.
Green energy: commissioning of our first self-sufficient cottage
Harnessing renewable energy is one of our main objectives.
Our very first cottage equipped with a photovoltaic roof was put into service in 2023. We hope that this cottage will be self-sufficient and extend this action to our entire rental portfolio in the coming years.
This unique project is particularly close to our hearts. Using the energy of our beautiful sun to limit our impact on the environment is proof that we can adapt our habits to safeguard your vacation spot in Vias Plage
Renovation of the rental stock
We have also chosen to renovate rather than replace our good quality mobile homes.
In 2023, our 3 bedroom California cottages and Holiday Homes have been completely renovated. Total exterior makeover, complete interior renovation.
Rather than changing, we renovate with qualified craftsmen.
Proud of its first successes, the renovation of our vacation rentals continues in 2024, with one of our most beautiful areas: Marina.
Promote the local economy and support local artists
Supporting and helping to develop the local economy has always been essential for the Giner family.
Collaborating with businesses in Vias and the surrounding area is obvious for the proper functioning of the local economic fabric.
In addition to this desire, we are also committed to safeguarding professions stemming from French art and crafts. True French heritage, behind the decor of Club Farret, hides a painter and sculptor.
